How it is taught
Marked against the descriptors
IELTS is not an English test so much as a test of four specific performances under timing. Candidates lose bands to the format — not to their English — far more often than they expect.
Writing marked, not just set
Task 1 and Task 2 returned with the four criteria scored separately — task response, coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy — because a single overall comment tells a candidate nothing about which of the four is holding the band down.
Speaking rehearsed in all three parts
Part 2 is where preparation collapses: sixty seconds to plan and two minutes to fill. It is drilled with AI scoring on fluency and pronunciation, and VR rehearsal of the interview room itself.
Listening and Reading under real timing
Both modules punish technique rather than comprehension — transfer time, question order, skimming discipline. Practised timed from the first week, because an untimed practice score is not a band estimate.

Do you teach Academic or General Training?
Both. They are genuinely different exams in two of the four modules — Reading and Writing Task 1 — and the batch is set by which one you are sitting. Academic is the usual route for university admission, General Training for most migration and work applications.
How long is the IELTS course?
The intensive runs two weeks with restricted batch sizes and is the fastest format; classroom and online formats run longer at a lower weekly load. The right length depends on the gap between your current band and your target band, which is why BRETS asks for a mock score before recommending a format rather than selling one duration to everybody.
What band score can I expect?
No honest coaching centre can promise a band, and one that does is telling you something it cannot know — the score depends on your starting level, your preparation hours and the exam day.
