A year of English for Class 9 on the Tamil Nadu state syllabus, following the SCERT reader through every prose lesson, poem, drama and supplementary reading. Each is taught over three short days: the lesson, then a sheet marked at once, then a recall round. The grammar the book sets unit by unit — prepositions, degrees of comparison, clauses, modals, tenses, connectors, the passive, determiners and reported speech — is taught inside the lesson it belongs to.
